Tuna Blue Beginnings
Once upon a time there were 2 couples, Tim & Christine and John & Karen...the best of friends, cottage neighbours, and family cousins... Our families have experienced many Caribbean sailing adventures. We would sail into a beautiful tropical cove, weigh anchor or tie up at the dock and go ashore. Once ashore we would find a small resort, a cool restaurant, maybe a marina. There, we would relax and enjoy a great meal , have cocktails, and see a great reggae band. Usually, we would buy a hat, t-shirt, or beach towel to take home to remind us of where we'd been.
It was always a great time so we said, “Let’s create this in Nova Scotia”. So in 2019 we decided to buy the former Dauphinee Inn and create the tropical vibe we loved so much on our winter escapes, and call it The Tuna Blue Inn, Restaurant & Marina. Hubbards had everything we needed to do this, we simply had to add good food, a variety of drinks, live entertainment and accommodations. This is what we have to offer just 30 minutes from Halifax.
